The aim of the Department of Production Systems Engineering is to “train engineers who are capable of practicing manufacturing useful for people and the environment by combining knowledge of machines, electrics/electronics and information.” “Manufacturing” in modern times is formed by combining and fusing together the knowledge and technologies of these three fields.
In the Department of Production Systems Engineering we link together these three fields of machines, electrics/electronics and information to learn about this engineering. We have formed three courses as the cornerstones of these respective fields. Furthermore, we have six courses available from the fourth year in order to increase specialization and in order to fuse together multiple specialties in an advanced manner or in order to provide a high degree of internationalism and management skills. We aim to train even more practical engineers with a high degree of creativity by fusing together knowledge and technologies in many fields and the empirical knowledge, ideas and techniques of many people.
