Decision made to found a college of technology in Hakodate.
Jan.17:
Establishment of the Committee for Establishing Hakodate National College of Technology.
Apr.1:
Founding of Hakodate National College of Technology (1962 amendment of Article 36 of the National University Founding Act).
Apr.1:
Yasumitsu Uzumasa (Doctor of Science and Professor Emeritus of Hokkaido University) appointed as first President.
Apr.20:
First entrance ceremony held together with opening ceremony of the college.
Dec.10:
Phase 1 completed for construction of new school buildings.
Dec.11:
Transfer to new school buildings.
1963 Mar.3:
Phase 1 completed for construction of new dormitory.
Apr.8:
Dormitory named as “Shuncho Dormitory”.
Dec.5:
Phase 2 completed for construction of new school buildings and dormitories.
